Foundations of Scientific Theology

Service Description

Examines the biblical, philosophical, and theological foundations for ‘Science and Theology’. The student develops a basic facility to engage as an expert in science-engaged theology, religion & science with specific attention given to the paradigms of God’s relationship to the world, our place in it, and the interface between special revelation and natural revelation. Finally, the advanced student designs a philosophical-theological approach to a specific topic or a set of topics that demonstrate an awareness of the philosophical, hermeneutical, systematic, and contemporary approaches for effective communication in the public sphere. This occurs in the context of seminar discussions and several intensive group projects.
